Magdalena Klein (b. 1785) is portraited here at the age of seventeen. She is turning to the right toward her husband Jakob Klein, whose portrait is also in the collection. A transparent shawl is wrapped around her blue Empire-style gown. Jewellery and the modern updo hairstyle complete the overall impression of a representative style.
