Saint Michael, um 1290

About the object

Similar to the figure of St Catherine (Inventory number S 045/M), the mighty figure of St Michael was formerly situated on the southeast side of the Freiburg Minster Tower. It was placed about 30 m above the ground under a canopy. Copies now replace the originals there.
