Emil Beithan

After studying at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, where he studied under Wilhelm Trübner and others, Emil Beithan spent much of his life in the Schwalm region of northern Hesse. There he captured the life of the rural population, creating a picturesque testimony to Schwalm culture in an expressive style.
