About the object
The US crime series »Chicago Story« was broadcast in the spring of 1982. The series focuses on crime stories or dramatic events linking the work of doctors, police officers and lawyers. The ambitious series didn't resonate with the viewing public and was shelved after only thirteen episodes. The attraction of the scene depicted here lies in the conception of the perspective, which corresponds to a camera angle: the role of dual spectator enables us to identify with the person in the picture and is simultaneously the observer's perspective. Friedemann Hahn is numbered among the most outstanding exponents of German Neo-expressionism.
