Unfortunately, we do not know the first name of Frau Wenz, the wife of the head forester from Wettingen. Unlike the portrait of her husband, the date of the painting has been recorded on the back of the canvas. The portraits of the Wenz couple were painted three months before Kirner's death and are probably among his last works.
