The cycle comprising five large-format paintings began with the observation of two ducks crouching on a wooden board on a pond in a forest. Whereas the first painting was initially conceived as a single composition, it became the starting point for the cycle, in which each painting drew on its predecessor. As the 'or' in the title suggests, the process of painting what is seen and felt as concrete images also engenders the cognitive world of ideas as counterparts that complement one another.
