About the object
As the son of Friedrich Carl Conrad Christof von Krafft-Ebing, Hans came from the Bavarian noble Krafft-Ebing family. From 1888 onwards, he worked as a senior civil servant in various places, including in the Waldkirch district office and finally in Karlsruhe. This portrait was probably based on a photograph taken in Karlsruhe around 1900.
