About the object
When the archdiocese in Freiburg was founded in 1827, Joseph Dürr was parish priest in Lehen. Thereupon Dürr, who came from Stanislau (Galicia), was in charge of the archdiocesan seminary as Regent. According to contemporary sources, he was a talented orator, and, as such, was held in high esteem. He died aged 63.
