About the object
With the help of tracings, Kirner transferred the outlines of the figures onto the primed canvas of the painting Jagdpartie (Hunting Party): in this instance, we are looking at the pair of figures positioned to the right of the painting. Deviations in details suggest that the tracing must have been made before the painting was finished.
