Portrait of Hermann Dischler, 1889
The twenty-three-year-old Hermann Dischler, whom Bluhm has painted here during Dischler's student years in Karlsruhe, seems to be taking a short break. From 1885 to 1894, the latter studied at the Grand-Ducal School of Art. Today, he is known in particular for his depiction of winter landscapes, many of which are in the collection.
