About the object

The baroque worship of the Sacred Heart, which dates back to the vision of a French nun, was propagated by the Jesuits in particular. St Aloysius of Gonzaga (left) and St Johannes Berchmans are depicted as representatives of the order. The altarpiece comes from the Nepomuk chapel in Krozingen.
