This photo of the Paradiesmühle (paradise mill) from the south is part of a series of three shots that Fritz Hase took one year before it's demolition in 1896. In the foreground you can see the gardens along Rempartstrasse. In place of the old miller's and craftsmen's district the new university library was built.
