The giant by the name of Reprobus wanted to serve the "greatest king there was" and only him, which in the end turned out to be Jesus. His task was to ferry pilgrims across a raging torrent. On one occasion, he carried a boy who became so heavy, it seemed to Reprobus as though he were carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulders. He was baptised after this experience. His new name means "Bearer of Christ".
