Johann Philipp Freiherr von Wessenberg (1773-1858), painted around 1800 by Wendelin Moosbrugger, was an Austrian diplomat and statesman, ultimately becoming Minister of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister in 1848. His brother was the Roman Catholic theologian Ignaz Heinrich von Wessenberg, whose portrait is also part of the collection.
