Stool with an elephant in lieu of supporting legs. Clan stools (dwa) of this kind can have many different forms and functions: from a simple household object to the spiritual centre of an entire ethnic group or nation. The latter are kept in dedicated royal rooms. The elephant stool may only be used by the asantehene (king).
