Shield

Round shield made of very dense, heavy wood. There is a strap at the back with which the shield could be hung over the shoulder in order to free up both hands when fighting. On account of their weight, they were presumably used to defend the village by placing them on the ground and taking cover behind them. Originally, the shields were colourfully painted.
