About the object

The abstractly configured "spectres" sculpture stands three-legged on its round base. The expansive body with its raw, haptically animated surface is imbued with movement resembling a dance. Two bodies seem to be engaged in a power play. Toward the end of her life, Priska von Martin divided her oeuvre into six creative phases, one of which being her "abstract period", spanning the years 1960-63.
