About the object

So-called »Schnapshunde« (dog-shaped decanters) were deployed in men's drinking games in taverns. Who could drink a full »Schnapshund« in one draft or how many dogs could a man drink? Bets were taken on the possible outcomes and there were many who forfeited their money and possessions in these drinking games.
