About the object
The trumpet pipe is made from the wood of the cecropia tree. The star-shaped plate is made from thin wood and is decoratively painted with black lines and patterns. Cotton string and feathers are attached to the corners. During the Paschierá dance, the dancers raise and lower the trumpets in rhythmical synchronisation with the dancing.
