This watercolour study of a lady was made together with that of her male counterpart as a couple by the miniature painter, Ferdinand Freiherr von Lütgendorff (1785-1858). The sketch is masterfully painted in watercolours. The fine lace of her cape and her silky brown hair are endowed with a haptic quality.
