About the object
The pair of portraits of Ignaz (1775-1818) and Eva Eleonore Hüetlin (1779-1802) are joined together in a single frame. Ignaz was the father of the Mayor of Constance, Karl Hüetlin (1806-1861). Eva Eleonore died at the age of twenty-three in her first confinement and is depicted here together holding her infant.
