View from the vestibule of the Minster to the Munstergasse, um 1860
About the object
The view from the vestibule of the Freiburg Minster leads through two of the baroque "patron" pillars into the Münstergasse and Kaiserstrasse. Two women are standing next to a market stall, other people can be seen in the alley. Stereo photographs were very popular with the bourgeois audience. With an appropriate viewing device one could see a three-dimensional image.
