About the object
The painting came to the museum through Frieda Thiry in 1900. It depicts a patient of her brother, the Freiburg ear specialist, Dr. Rudolf Thiry. Born in Bräunlingen, Baptist Tuttiné made a name for himself particularly as a painter of traditional costumes. His collection of traditional costumes and household items is held at the Badisches Landesmuseum.
