About the object
Next to the Minster, the Schwabentor (left at the edge of the city) and the Martinstor (right of the Minster), the newly built Zähringer Vorstadt (lower town) with the two recently completed customs houses are visible on the far right of the picture. By means of the pond scene in the foreground, the city seems ensconced in a particularly idyllic, secluded landscape.
