The devastating fire of 1818 was a profoundly traumatic event for the inhabitants of the town. Even after the passage of time, this event remained an indelible memory that warranted commemoration. A new historical consciousness emerges here, which, in the recollection of the devastation caused, pays tribute to the achievements of reconstruction.
