Albert Hermann Daur
Portrait of Bianca Kern-Hunziker, 1912
About the object
As is the case with his portrait of Esther Kern, Daur has concentrated on the essentials here. Presumably the two women are related and the portraits were painted in the Engadine, where Daur spent summers between 1909 and 1912 in the village of Fex. Indeed, both paintings were purchased privately from Swiss owners.
