The companion painting of this unknown couple are conceived as half-length portraits and show the each of the two individuals with frontal, slightly averted gazes. The sitter is wearing a shirt pleated at the front, and a blue-flowered waistcoat on top of it, with a chain hanging from the placket. His blue tie is tied in a bow.
