About the object
Allegedly, this figure - which was once painted - is from the parish church in Ebringen near Freiburg. The figure's attribute is missing rendering identification impossible. The elaborately worked rear side would indicate its use as a processional figure. However, it is also possible to envisage the figure in a smaller altar shrine.
