Sigmund Geiges
Coat of arms of the photographer Gottlieb Theodor Hase as member of the "Ponte Molle" artist's society, um 1860
About the object
For the members of the "Ponte Molle" in Freiburg, Sigmund Geige made coats of arms that humorously refer to the names of the club mates. For Gottlieb Theodor Hase, a rabbit in a red tails sits on a camera and breaks the brush with a sad expression. A painter's palette can be seen behind the camera: The painter has become a photographer. The coats of arms hung in the club room together with the photos of the members taken by Hase.
