About the object
In this work, Morat has assembled almost his entire repertoire of figures, which he used as staffage in the foregrounds. The names of the places where the figures appear are often noted down above them. Stylus traces testify to the frequent use of this sheet, which contains various boats in the upper section, similar to those used in the view of Meersburg.
