Altar “St. Wendelin”, Drittes Viertel 18. Jahrhundert
About the object
The altar was once in the chapel of the Herrnwälder Hof near Schönwald. At its crown stands St. Wendelin, the patron saint of country people and herdsmen, beneath him the Blessed Virgin Mother, St. Catherine and St. John the Baptist proffer their protection for the flock. During the winter the family held prayers in the court chapel.
