About the object
The portrait of princess Karoline of Baden (1776-1841) lies in the original enameled gold frame. The young woman is portrayed in front of a grey-blue background. The wavy hair falls openly on her shoulders. A richly pleated, embroidered flounce emphasizes the plunging neckline of the dress made of delicate batiste. On the reverse side is composed in the round a hair picture with the words "A MOI".
