About the object
This watercolour complements the drawing of the same motif, which concentrates on the architecture, and emphasises the colours of the mountains and fields. Some of the changes recorded there have been implemented according to the tonal palette laid down in this composition (cf. St. Urban's tower, manor house). Did the unpainted, white sections still need to be worked out?
