About the object

This headband has been made from numerous interwoven strips of reed. The exterior is tied in place with cotton thread. A weave, decorated with cracid feathers has been affixed to the upper edge. The back is furnished with long cotton threads, which are decorated with small cotton balls, down feathers and seed pods. This decorative dancing attire was worn by women and girls during dance festivals.
