Colombischlößle, view from Eisenbahnstrasse, nach 1861
About the object
The Colombischlößle (Colombi House) stands on the ruins of the baroque bastion of St. Louis. In 1859, the Countess Maria Gertrudis de Colombi y de Bode (1809-1863) had the neo-Gothic villa built. The architect was Georg Jakob Schneider. The children in the foreground are standing at the foot of the vineyard towards the newly laid Eisenbahnstraße (Railroad street).
