About the object
A masseur is massaging a recumbent customer, who is partly covered by a futon. The masseur’s profession was traditionally relegated to blind men, which had the dual bonus of not only providing a livelihood for a disadvantaged part of the population, but also affording customers a certain degree of privacy.
