Unbekannter Fotograf

This is a portrait of the mysterious woman, who would become the subject of books, songs and movies. In this album, she is captioned – in both German and Japanese – as Oyoshi, but her real name was probably Satō Kichi. The photograph is credited to four different photographers, among them Adolfo Farsari.
