About the object
Joseph Peter Aloys Rodeckher von Rotteck (1778/80-1812) is the younger brother of the Freiburg statesman Karl von Rotteck. In a similar way to his older brother, he was politically active. He held a high office as a Baden Grand Ducal district councillor in Mannheim. His son Joseph became Mayor of Freiburg in 1833.
