About the object
The four-pointed Pfennige of the Counts of Urach, who became heirs to the Dukes of Zähringer in 1218 and called themselves the Counts of Freiburg from 1230 onwards, depict the dynasts frontally or in profile, with a star and cross or cross-tipped sceptre and ring as accompanying symbols, but without a sword as a ducal insignia.
